Started by building two environments. The first is a test platform at http://stevenjhagen.com/drupal01 and after some getting used to the Godaddy control panels I got a good movement to start setting up the Drupal 7 Site. Because this is a more of a learning environment then anything else i started with enabling all of the core modules.
Bang Zap that was done and I am starting the customization.
I loading the non core modules by doing the following:
- downloaded the lates 7 module file which went into my down load folder
- use the FTP manager from Godaddy to upload the files
- then unzipped the files again useing the FTP manager from Godaddy
- I started enabling the Modules when I got them and they were unzipped I enabled all that where not locked due to dependances in one shot. Not always the best plan but that I done it a couple of times and I am feeling comfortable.
This is the order that I enabled the models:
- Ctools
- Views
- Token
- date api
- pathauto
